Erlebnisberg Sternrodt (2011)

About 15 km from Willingen in the Hochsauerland is the village of Sternrodt, where you will find an Alpine Coaster of the manufacturer Wiegand on the Erlebnisberg with the Sternrodler. For a price of 2€30 you can take a ride as an adult, but apart from some curves and straights the ride has hardly any elements worth mentioning.

The speed that one can reach on the track is absolutely ok, but unfortunately the drive can be ruined very quickly by a sneak. Since this is a sports facility, you can regulate the sleds independently, which can cause long delays and traffic jams, especially due to anxious people. You can guess what happened. Accordingly, my credo is that it is best to ban these persons from all rides of this kind.

However, the Sternrodler is on the whole rather one of the weaker installations of this kind of summer toboggan run, in terms of ride quality it is even more boring than the Weserberglandbob and by far worse than the Alpine Coaster at the Alpincenter in Bottrop, which is more convincing by its location alone. For a little stopover, a ride in Sternrodt is at least nice; but that’s it.

Weserberglandbob (2010)

After I left the Zoo Safari- und Safaripark Stukenbrock in the afternoon I went to the beautiful Weserbergland to ride the Weserberglandbob in the quiet village Bodenwerder, where the famous Baron of MĂĽnchhausen has his home.

The Weserberglandbob Alpine Coaster offers numerous serpentine curves, two tunnels, a few jumps and bridges. The ride is not bad, but not particularly exhilarating either, which is why one should definitely try one ride, whereas several should be spared. For a small stop after or before a amusement park (Rasti-Land and the above mentioned park are suitable here for example) the Wiegand built ride is completely sufficient, but also for tourists who have found their way to the beautiful Weserbergland.

Brocken Coaster (2010)

If you pick up your new car near Goslar you can also drive a bit further up into the Harz mountains to test the handling of the car and the Alpine Coaster Brocken Coaster in Schierke.

Brocken Coaster • Wiegand Alpine Coaster

After getting rid of your money at the cashier’s desk you climb a small lift hill to gain speed in the following helix. A few turns and another helix follow, as well as a wonderful steep turn until you are braked again. All in all, the Brocken Coaster is unfortunately much too short, but absolutely tight. Therefore, if you happen to be in the area, a ride is definitely worthwhile.
