Sommerrodelbahn Gutach (2020)

After my visit to the animal park Tatzmania Löffingen, I headed towards the Sommerrodelbahn Gutach at the edge of the village Gutach (Schwarzwaldbahn). Located in the middle of the Black Forest, this 1450m long mountain coaster provides a very solid, albeit predictable ride experience. Hereby, the ride starts off with a bunch of serpentines, which are well interrupted by some smaller jumps and waves. The course changes a bit after the first helix in the middle of the ride. From then on, the path is a bit more open and the terrain a bit less steep. After another sequence of waves, we take another helix which leads us into a tunnel and shortly thereafter back to the start of the ride.

Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest (2016)

Shortly before the end of my internship at Daimler AG in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, I also went to the small Wasen, the Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest. Here, small is already quite big, but this was a disadvantage for many showmen. Rarely have I seen such empty rides with such a good line-up, because they were simply not close enough to the crowd.

Mercedes Benz Museum (2016)

As an intern at Daimler in Sindelfingen, I had to take a look into the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart and I was very much impressed. You start off at the highest point of the Museum and wind your way down to the ground level. Level by level you learn a lot about the history of the Daimler company and their brand Mercedes Benz. It is kind of surprising how many developments Daimler is actually involved in. I really like the presentation of the museum, where you basically walk from one special exhibition, called the Mythosraum, into another one. After some hours, you reach the exit of the Museum and are quite impressed how much you actually learned on your visit. The museum is therefore not a small destination you can do when you have some spare time in Stuttgart, as you need your time doing it.
