Wismar (2020)

Together with my friend and colleague Jikang, I spent the day exploring some places along the Baltic coast. After a two hour drive, we started our Journey in Wismar, where we mostly pilgered from one church to another. We haf a view into St. Georgen, but did not take the elevator to the observation level. On towards St. Nikolai, we had a view into the Heiligen Geist church, which impressed us quite a lot with its beautiful wooden roof. Also St. Nicolai was very impressive. Unfortunately, we did not had the time for a tour into the vault.

Schwerin (2015)

Together with my grandmother, I made a daytrip to the beautiful castle of Schwerin and its amazing gardens. We enjoyed a good coffee and cake in the small café of the castle, before heading back to Hamburg.

Inselrodelbahn Bergen (2012)

In the middle of the Baltic Sea island of Rügen, in the village of Bergen, a place whose name was not given without justification (Berg means Mountain, so Bergen is a place full of mountains), you will find the Inselrodelbahn Bergen, Germany’s northernmost summer and winter toboggan run and at the same time the most visited Alpine Coaster ride in Germany. Even on a Sunday with rather modest weather you can spend a few minutes in the queue here.

The ride on the Inselrodelbahn Bergen is quite short, but also quite exciting. Here you will encounter elements you would wish for on longer, but unfortunately monotonous rides, such as the Weserberglandbob. However, even this can only slightly improve the ride.

One should give the operators a very high credit for the display of the speed, since the creative play of this hardly leads to a sneak. Somehow everyone wants to break the speed record and the annoying trimming of the sledges during the descent is omitted.
