WilhelmaWilhelma in the centre of Stuttgart is one of the largest animal parks in Germany. The park was founded in 1842 and is currently being operated by the county of Baden-Württemberg. Whilst the buildings and the botanic garden are older, the first animals found their new home in the Wilhelma in 1953. The enclosures of the animals are typically large and species-appropriate, but also slightly outdated.

Fun Fact: The parks restaurants can be found at the bottom and top of the hill.
