After my visit to Worlds of Fun, I continued north through rural Iowa, passing endless fields and small towns along the way. I stopped for the night in Clarinda, where I stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham Clarinda.
The next morning, I headed on to Arnolds Park. Even the entrance to the parking lot makes a great first impression: a large wooden arch stretches across the road with a roller coaster train sitting on top. Just beyond it, the view opens up toward the lake, with the amusement park sitting right along the shoreline. That setting immediately gives Arnolds Park a character all its own.
