Hamburger Sommerdom (2016)

Who doesn’t enjoy a ride on a KMG Speed? I certainly do, which is why I took a bit of time to travel to the centre of Hamburg for a ride on Jekyll & Hyde. The new ride by the showman Thelen does not only surprise by its beautiful appearance, but also by its surprisingly smooth and thrill lasting ride experience.

Verdener Domweih (2016)

After meeting some of the onride.de guys at Heide Park, I headed towards the Verdener Domweih in order to test the new Drifting Coaster by the showman Ahrend – a swinging coaster by Reverchon. It is basically a wild mouse style ride with some zigzag curves which suppose to get the cars into a swinging motion. Unfortunately for me, the swing was not at all working on my first and only trial. Therefore, I was left with the surprisingly steep drop at the start of the ride and a bunch of pointless curves for the rest of the layout. Shortly after my ride, the coaster went down.

Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest (2016)

Shortly before the end of my internship at Daimler AG in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, I also went to the small Wasen, the Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest. Here, small is already quite big, but this was a disadvantage for many showmen. Rarely have I seen such empty rides with such a good line-up, because they were simply not close enough to the crowd.
