One of the most unique attractions in London is The Slide at ArcelorMittal Orbit, where you slide down a 178m long tunnel slide from a starting point of 78m. The slide was built by Wiegand after the design of Carsten Höller. Overall the slide gives the viewing tower ArcelorMittal Orbit an extraordinary and out-of-the-world appearance. The 40 seconds long experience is also rather unique, as you swing up quite high through some of the curves. The extraordinary height of the slide on the other hand is hardly visible, as you just slide down an enclosed tube for the most part of the ride. The few translucent parts of the ride are also passed by rather quickly, so that I even recommend to slide down the slide if you’re normally afraid of heights.
