WildWater Adventure is the water park connected directly to Michigan’s Adventure and first opened in 1990. Over the years, it has grown into a sizeable park with a mix of body slides, tube slides, family raft rides, a lazy river, and no fewer than three wave pools.

Some of the most interesting attractions include the hillside-built Mammoth River and Mine Shaft family raft slides, the three Black Hole slides of Snake Pit, and Funnel of Fear, a large ProSlide Tornado. With its size and variety of slides, WildWater Adventure offers plenty to do, and together with Michigan’s Adventure it can easily fill an entire day.

Noah’s Ark Waterpark is located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and is one of the best-known water parks in the United States. First opened in 1979, the park has continued to grow over the years and today covers a large area filled with water slides, wave pools, lazy rivers and other water attractions.

The variety of slides is particularly impressive. Alongside classic body and tube slides, there are family raft slides, mat racers and several more unusual attractions. Some of the best-known rides include the Black Anaconda water coaster, the Scorpion’s Tail looping slide and the large Raja King Cobra slide. There is even a classic spillwater ride with Flash Flood.

It is this mix of major attractions and wonderfully old-school water slides that makes Noah’s Ark particularly interesting. Not everything here feels modern, but the park makes up for that with an enormous selection and several slides that are becoming increasingly difficult to find elsewhere. This makes Noah’s Ark one of the water parks that is well worth visiting while in Wisconsin Dells.

Superior Shores is the water park located directly inside Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota. Its history dates back to 1983, when the first water slides opened here. Over the years, the water park became Whitewater Country, later Soak City and eventually the Superior Shores of today.

The park offers a varied selection of slides, ranging from fast body and drop-floor slides to tube, mat racing and family rafting attractions. Lighthouse Landing features several different slides from one large tower, while Breakers Bay and the Ripple Rapids lazy river offer a more relaxing change of pace. There are also several areas designed for younger visitors.

What makes Superior Shores particularly interesting is its mix of older and more modern attractions. Parts of the water park have developed over several decades, while newer slides add plenty of variety to the lineup. With admission already included with Valleyfair, the water park is also easy to combine with a day of roller coasters and rides next door.
