Oakwood Theme Park, near the small Welsh town of Narberth in Pembrokeshire, is a medium-sized amusement park with a surprisingly large number of breathtaking rides and roller coasters, including the wooden coaster Megafobia or the massive Intamin Mega Splash Drenched. The park was founded in 1987 and is currently managed by the Spanish amusement park group Aspro Parks.
Fun Fact #1: The subtitle of the roller coaster Speed is a reference to the roller coaster simulation NoLimits.
Fun Fact #2: Megafobia was the first modern wooden roller coaster in the country. Roller coaster legend John Wardley was involved in its creation.
Fun Fact #3: After several incidents at the sister ride at Knott’s Berry Farm, Drenched also retrofitted the boats with shoulder restraints.
