After a successful fight against vampires in the newly opened Van Helsing’s Factory, we headed towards the city of Bottrop to visit the Alpincenter, located on a mountain with a considerable gradient.
The Alpincenter is quite well accepted, which surprised me a bit. The prices are a little high for some activities (for example for the seemingly easy high ropes course). Besides the usual activities on and around the ski slopes, there is the possibility to go indoor airdiving, play paintball or ride an Alpine Coaster.
The latter has a length of one kilometre and has some nice sections, including a steep curve that is a real challenge. During the ride you have to struggle with the vegetation in places, as some plants have decided to grow along the track. The ride itself is not bad and can therefore be taken along with you on your next visit to the theme park in Feldhausen.
Towards the end of the ride the weather worsened massively and thus we went on the lift towards the meanwhile very black clouds. Shortly before the end it started to rain slightly, before suddenly a quite strong storm broke out. Thereupon nobody was allowed on the lift for the time being and I raced to the car and even though it was only a few meters I got completely soaked.

Affen- und Vogelpark in Eckenhagen, North Rhine-Westphalia is a small family owned animal park with focus on monkeys and colourful birds. On a three km long round trip, the park offers a large number of animal enclosures, as well as some playgrounds for the small ones. Right next to the entrance you can find the Indoor-Erlebnishalle, where the kids can play even on rainy days.
