Parque EspañaParque España is one of the most curious amusement parks in the world, because although the name might suggest it, it is not located in Spain but in Japan and is part of the Shima Spain Village (志摩スペイン村) Resort of the railway company Kintetsu.

Since 1994, Parque España has been entertaining its visitors. The focus of the theme park is on edutainment and some selected attractions. Among the highlights are the big museum Castillo de Xavier, a flamenco show with Spanish dancers and the roller coasters Pyrenees and Gran Montserrat.

Fun Fact #1: Many areas of the park are inspired by Spanish buildings and squares. The level of detail is surprisingly high.

Fun Fact #2: The park once offered a breathtaking dark ride with the Adventure Lagoon, but for cost reasons it was reduced to the Feliz Cruise of today.

Fun Fact #3: Many rides of Parque España are featured in the fourth Detective Conan movie.
