Cavallino Matto in Castagneto Carducci in Tuscany is a small family-run amusement park, which nevertheless has many special attractions. The park was founded as Parco Gulliver in 1967, but it was more a playground with pony rides and miniature golf than an amusement park. In the 1990s, more and more large rides moved into the park. The park gained in attraction with the takeover of the Manfredi family and the associated expansion.
Fun Fact #1: The rock ‘n’ roll monster entertained visitors to the Swedish amusement park Liseberg for many years.
Fun Fact #2: Freestyle is one of only two stand-up coasters in Europe. As the Sky Rider, it entertained visitors to Canada’s Wonderland theme park before finding its second home in Cavallino Matto.
